Happy Hallo-week

It’s nearly Halloween time. That means stores, venues, clubs and galleries are pulling out the stops for spooky seasonal fare. Think costumes, creepy music and chills for all. We have unofficial word that Kirkwood may once again face a parading invasion of “undead activity” over the weekend. Meanwhile, earlier, the Zombie Prom gets dressed up Wednesday night at Jake’s. Also on Wednesday, the Stardusters play some swinging tunes at the Players Pub costume party. Then Thursday, Dennis James haunts the IU Auditorium with organ music, this time to a Hitchcock film background, and Neon Indian plays the Bishop. Friday, Califone headlines at the Bishop while Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek) fiddles and sings at the Buskirk-Chumley. Saturday (the ol’ 31st of October) includes Hairbangers Ball at the Bluebird, Jucifer at Rhino’s, an IFA benefit, “Rocky Horror” by Cardinal and much more in this monstrous event week than you can shake wax fangs or a fake bony finger at. It’s here … *runs screaming*

is now offering $1 admission to anyone with a Rocky Horror ticket stub or anyone with an IFA benefit wristband from the Bishop. Cover gets you into both the dance party downstairs (10pm-3am) & the Metallica tribute upstairs (Midnight-1am).

$5 ($2 in costume) for everybody else.
